Introduction
Your forms can be protected in various ways: through Captcha images, IP blocking, country filter or even password protection.
Antispam Protection
Captcha images certify that your submitter is a real person and not a robot. You may choose to always show a Captcha image at the bottom of your form, to show a daily changed image or to use Smart Captcha – this will only appear when your form is abused (for example, when multiple submissions come from the same IP). The number of submissions made from the same IP can be limited to a certain number per day.
Country Filter
Security options give you the possibility of rejecting submissions coming from specific countries. Type into the box the country codes that you do not want to accept. To view country codes, click on Show country codes; to hide the list, press Hide country codes.
You can also use the opposite feature – accept submissions coming only from certain countries. In this case, all submissions will be restricted, except for those coming from the countries you specify.
Password Protection
Here, you can set a password for your form. Share it with your target audience and forbid access for other submitters. Press Set Password, type a password in both lightbox fields and you’re ready to go. To make your form available to everyone, select None.
Do your services have integrated anti-spam solutions?
Yes, as you can see in more detail above, you can protect your Inbox from spam by using Captcha verification images, by limiting form submissions form the same IP to one per day, by rejecting submissions coming from specific countries or even by using a password to protect your form. You can find all security features in Settings -> Security.
What is smart Captcha?
Captcha images are the colorful letters and numbers displayed at the end of your form. Users have to type those characters in a box, to confirm that they are persons, not robots (robots can not read them). Smart Captcha is the code that shows only if your form is being abused (e.g. multiple submissions from the same IP).
I enter the correct verification number, but the form does not accept it. Why?
In some browsers, the verfication code, even if typed in correctly, is not accepted. To solve this, make sure that cookies are enabled in your browser. If they’re not, enable them. Type in the verification code again and submit the form.
If cookies were already enabled in your browser, delete them (Delete cookies), type in the verification number and submit the form.
To avoid using cookies, set the CAPTCHA protection to Daily Changed CAPTCHA.
To avoid cookies completely, set the CAPTCHA protection to None and protect the form by limiting the number of submissions received from an IP address to 1 or 2 per day. This way, you’re form will not be spammed and the verification image will not be required anymore.
How do I remove the verification number?
If you want the verification number to never be displayed, go to Settings → Security and select the option None.
Can I limit the total number of form submissions?
Yes, you can. In your Settings -> Security section, tick the box Limit the total number of form submissions to and specify the maximum number of submissions. Save the settings.
