Parent's or Parents' Name(s):
This year Rabbi Kassoff will send parents occasional reminders and special messages via SMS. This will also be a quick way to get information out in case of a weather emergency or other unusual events. I agree to receiving such messages at my mobile number via the messaging service remind.com. I understand that normal text messaging rates may apply.
During the school year, photographs or videos may be taken during school hours or at Beth Israel Congregation events. I give permission for photographs and/or videos of my child(ren) to be included in Beth Israel Congregation publications, presentations, or Web pages and/or news releases sent to external media sources throughout the school year.

Family Volunteer Obligation
Beth Israel Religious School strives to provide your children with the best Jewish education possible. As a small community with limited resources, we rely heavily on the contributions of time and skills from many congregational volunteers. In addition to the contributions that we ask of all registering families (see Religious School Financial Section), we ask each of you to consider what gifts you may be willing to share.
In order to support my child(ren)’s Jewish education, I (we) will gladly:
Serve as a door monitor during school and dismissal (once or more)
Teach a specialty session (music, cooking, art, sport, woodworking, ethics, history, dance, etc), one-time or recurring
Substitute teach when available
Be a room parent
Shop for supplies
Help with special events
Help with IT and/or social media
Help with youth group events
I’m interested in teaching a class next year
I am generally available
NO CHILD WILL BE DENIED A JEWISH EDUCATION BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.
If you are in need of a scholarship or would like to discuss a specific financial situation, please contact Rabbi Kassoff (confidential voicemail at 601-956-6215 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
First semester (1/2) tuition must be paid by August 21st unless alternative arrangements are made in advance. You can now pay online! Go to the Beth Israel website, click Donate, and choose Religious School Fees.
Pre-K through 8th grade: $350 for the year + food contribution (see below)
Confirmation: $400 for the year
Explanation of Food Contribution
This year we ask parents to pitch in to provide the regular weekly snacks for students on Sundays and Wednesdays.
On Sundays, we serve challah and juice, in part to teach about the rituals of kiddush and motzi. Our challah is home-baked and generously donated every week by congregant Gino Giammarco. This leaves us needing only grape juice on Sundays.
On Wednesdays, we provide snacks for Hebrew Hangout before Hebrew school. Our aim is to provide healthy, tasty snacks, such as fruit, cheese and crackers, and the like--and not high-sugar junk food.
We ask the following as food contributions:
Families with children in Sunday school: please provide three 64 oz bottles of grape juice (one white, two red) twice during the year
Families with one child in Hebrew school: in addition to Sunday obligation, please provide healthy snacks for c. 20 children on two Wednesdays during the year
Families with two children in Hebrew school: in addition to Sunday obligation, please provide healthy snacks for c. 20 children on three Wednesdays during the year
