You must be at least 18 years of age and have graduated from high school prior to the 2016-2017 academic year in order to participate in this weekend.

A valid government issued ID will be required at registration AND prior to your admission at each evening event. 
Clergy approval is required for all participants.

Friday Night (5/26/17) - The Block Party: The kickoff to a great weekend! A local pop-up Food Truck Fair welcomes you to indulge in your favorite foods and relax with friends surrounded by music and string lights. Each guest will receive two tickets to use at any food truck of his/her choice! 

Saturday Night (5/27/17) 
- Primetime at MetLife: The epitome of Sports Weekend: Courtside by day, field-side by night! The EY Coaches Club of MetLife Stadium offers a dance floor, lounge areas, and a patio overlooking the famous field! 

Sunday Night (5/28/17) 
- Gala at the Glenpointe: What better way to wrap up the weekend than with awards, dinner, and dancing! Joseph Krikorian and his band will take the stage in the ballroom of the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe.

Dear 2017 ACYOA Weekend Participants and Guests: 

For 70 years, the ACYOA has strengthened the spiritual and social bonds amongst Armenian youth.  One of the goals of the ACYOA Sports Weekend is to provide a forum for our youth to grow in their faith through worship, athleticism, and fellowship.  It is the hope of the Central Council that the dignity and integrity of the ACYOA and the Armenian Church is upheld during the course of the weekend.

All participants and guests attending any activity affiliated with the ACYOA Sports Weekend will be held accountable for their actions.  In an effort to ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend for all, the Code of Conduct will be enforced by the ACYOA Sports Weekend Committee and respective venue security/police departments throughout the weekend:
  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age AND have graduated from High School prior to the 2016-2017 academic year in order to take part in Sports Weekend. No minors will be permitted in hotel rooms. Absolutely no exceptions to this rule. 
  • In order to attend, registered participants must be approved by a clergyman, the ACYOA Central Council and host Sports Weekend Committee. 
  • Proper dress and language are expected at all times.
  • Any acts of vandalism, destruction of property, or misuse of facilities at any of the respective venues will not be tolerated. Those found responsible for such behavior will be held financially liable. 
  • Destructive behavior of any sort will not be tolerated. 
  • Excessive noise in any area of the hotel will not be tolerated. 
  • No alcohol from the outside may be brought into any of the facilities.
  • The consumption of alcohol by those under the age of 21 is strictly prohibited by law, and will be dealt with in accordance with local state law.
  • The use and/or distribution of controlled dangerous substances will not be tolerated and will be referred directly to the local police department.
  • Any other illegal activity, as stated in the local statutes, will be referred to the local police department for investigation and adjudication. 

The hotel and any venues affiliated with the ACYOA Sports Weekend reserve the right to evict and/or take legal action against anyone who is disorderly or who causes damage to property.

Individuals or chapters responsible for damages to any property or furnishings will be responsible for its repair or replacement. Any individual who disregards or is in violation of this Code of 
Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action including, but not limited to, forfeiture of weekend privileges and dismissal. No refund will be given to individuals who are dismissed.

We ask you for your cooperation in ensuring a healthy, safe, and enjoyable weekend for all.

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I am a registered participant of the 2017 ACYOA General Assembly and Sports Weekend (the "Weekend"), being held May 25-29, 2017 in New Jersey, and being hosted by the ACYOA Seniors of St. Leon Armenian Church. 

I understand that the Weekend is a church program and that my behavior must comport with the group standards of Christian conduct, and specifically the Code of Christian conduct, the conditions of which I agreed to when I registered online for the Weekend. I will comply at all times with the rules, standards, and instructions for proper behavior as set forth by the organizers of the Weekend. I agree that St. Leon Armenian Church, its Pastor, ACYOA Seniors, Sports Weekend Committee members and any designated persons shall have the right to enforce appropriate standards of conduct and that they may, at any time, terminate my participation in this program for failure to behave according to these standards or for any action or conduct which they consider to be incompatible with the interests, comfort, and welfare of other participants in the program or its supervisors. I understand that if my participation is terminated, I will be dismissed from the Weekend and will not be issued a refund.

I acknowledge that my participation in the Weekend may be potentially dangerous and that I may be injured and/or lose or damage personal property or suffer financial loss as a result of my participation. I further understand that my participation in the Weekend is an acceptance of the risk of injury, death, and financial loss and that I am assuming all risks, whether known or unknown.

In consideration of my participation in the Weekend, I hereby release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue and hold harmless the St. Leon Armenian Church, its Pastor, Parish Council, ACYOA Seniors, Sports Weekend Committee, any Weekend volunteers, employees, agents, third-party contractors, as well as the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), from any and all claims, legal actions for any personal injury to myself, and for any loss of property to me and for any injury to other persons or damage to other property that results from my participation in the events of the Weekend.

In signing this Release and Waiver of Liability, I acknowledge and represent that I have fully reviewed it and understand what it means and that I sign this document as my free act and deed. No oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written statement, have been made.

I further agree that this Release and Waiver of Liability shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. If any of its terms or provisions shall be held illegal, unenforceable, or in conflict with any law, the validity of the remaining portions shall not be affected thereby to the fullest extent permitted by law. I further state that I agree that I, my estate, heirs, administrators, personal representatives, and assigns shall be bound by the same.

I agree that my electronic signature is the legal equivalent of my manual signature on this Release and Waiver of Liability and to be legally bound by the terms and conditions as set forth above.
