New feature: Spam Trap

Postby Admin » January 13th, 2010, 2:27 pm

We just finished a new feature: Spam Trap. It is meant to reduce, even more, the chances of spam reaching your inbox.

It consists of a hidden input form, that is invisible to the human eye (so the humans leave it empty), but the spam bots will fill it.If that field is filled, our engine will know it is a spam attempt, and will not deliver the email.

If you are trying to legitimately fill a form, and the Spam Trap does not allow you, please let us know (on this thread) and we will solve the problem.

(Spam Trap will be automatically enabled, in the Form Setup page, but you can disable it if you wish)

Hello,
What browser do you use? Do you have some tool or plugin that automatically fills common fields? RoboForm, or some Google toolbar, or so? I assume *somthing* fills even the hidden field that should remain empty, so you are automatically considered a spambot.

Hi, I tested your form, and it worked perfectly. I believe SpamTrap works great on your site.
Anyway, if you wish to disable it, go ahead and do it from Form Setup.
