Make Your New Year’s Resolutions Stick

This post was originally published in January of 2016.

As we all know, setting New Year’s resolutions is the tradition in which a person makes a promise to self-improve or sets personal goals, beginning from New Year’s Day. Have you ever set a New Year’s resolution? Did you manage to stick to it? Do you have a strategy ? If you don’t, here’s a simple yet powerful one to crush your New Year’s resolutions.

90 Days Goals

If you break your resolutions into smaller, specific goals that are measurable and time-based, you will have a much greater chance of accomplishing them.

Setting a specific goal makes you more likely to achieve what you want. General goals, as well as 6 or 12 months goals give you the feeling that you have enough time, therefore you are not motivated to start…today! It is much more efficient to set an essential goal every 90 days than set 4 major goals in 12 months.

“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.”– Stephen Covey

What is your first goal for 2017? Are you willing to allocate your time and energy for this goal in the next 3 months and make it your primary focus?

We created a short and simple form to help you set your New Year’s resolutions and make them stick. Check it out:
