We’ve just launched a new field that will make your online form sophisticated and cool: Meet the Widget field!
How many times did you ask yourself if adding a video or a social media page would do the trick for your online form? You might have asked yourself what does this imply from your side, if you need to code anything or use certain workarounds. But now it’s much easier. With the new Widget field you can easily add any YouTube or Vimeo video to your form, include a PDF document or display your Facebook page.
You may find the Widget field under the Other Fields category within the form editor. Just click the field or drag it to the form.
Select your desired Widget within the popup.
Depending on the type of Widget you want to include in the form, follow the requirements on the right and complete the fields as requested. If it’s a YouTube video, copy its embed URL and set the size of the video on the form.
Hit the Add button and you are all set.
If you have trouble finding the embed URL of your YouTube video, follow these steps:
1. Go to your video.
2. Click Share.
3. Hit Embed.
4. Copy the URL that is displayed in the src tag.
If you want to add a Facebook page to your online form, follow these steps:
1. Add the widget to your form.
2. Select the Facebook page widget option.
3. Provide the link to your page.
4. Select the width and height of the iFrame where the page will be visible on the form.
5. Click Add. Done!
As for displaying PDF documents on your web form, select the Adobe PDF widget and provide the URL of your document. Make sure that it is uploaded on the web and that it includes the extension .pdf at the end.
