GENERAL DEFINITION: Under specific supervision, trains in the operation of Rotational Molding assembly in using various pneumatic and hand trimming tools as well as other related equipment as directed by immediate supervisor and advanced Production Finishers. Possesses a general understanding of the critical process elements to efficiently and safely produce quality plastic products (i.e. tanks, and other material handling containers).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Check with Supervisor for specifications on orders and obtain necessary equipment and materials.
  • Follow job specifications and cut item as necessary with power or pneumatic saw.
  • Trim to specifications with various hand tools (i. e. pneumatic routers, trim tool, surform etc.).
  • Pressure test products as required to check for air leaks.
  • Install bases and top protector to products as required by work order.
  • Inspect product to insure it is fitting properly and is in correct working order.
  • Vacuum and wash product and install all required labels and decals insuring they are in correct area, straight and free from bubbles.
  • Add any fixtures, special stencils, inking (i.e. fittings, lids, etc.)  as required 

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other related duties as required.
There may be times when a temporary work assignment is required to maintain the production requirements of the department. Work assignments will be made at the desecration of Management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Some knowledge of simple hand tools (i.e. routers, saws, drills, etc.) is helpful. An average degree of manual skills (i. e. using drills, knives and trim tools, etc.) and a considerable amount of physical effort are required. The position requires frequently lifting or moving material weighing 5 lbs. to 55 lbs., with the ability to stack three high, in sometimes awkward work positions. A high school diploma or GED equivalent with work experience in a factory, industrial, construction or farming environment is preferred. 


WORKING CONDITIONS: Somewhat undesirable working conditions. May be exposed to noise, heat, vapors, various power tools and other elements with several present to the extent of being undesirable and usually more than one at a time.
