Time for another “Meet the teams” interview and for this one we chose 5 developers from our Development team to answer some questions you’d probably want to ask them yourself if you’d have the chance to chat with them. So let’s get started and don’t forget to comment below if you’d like to suggest other specific questions for our team members to answer.

1000 (actually, this is binary, using decimal base it’s 8). Half of these years I spent in this nice Transylvanian environment. Boohooohoooo.
PhpStorm – this is like blood for a real vampire programmer
Navicat – easy to work with different databases, even while hanging by a palm tree, fighting with some evil monkeys
Google – Why bother with a wife who knows everything when I have Google?
With passion, enough sleep and coffee you can program almost everything. If you have a computer!
An SEO expert walks into a bar, pub, public house, inn, restaurant, club.
Challenging and nice.
I now remember that what really convinced me to get on board with the company was seeing pictures of the team. They all seemed like really nice people. And I was right!
If I had to choose just one favorite aspect of my role, it would be creating new complex things. Creativity and innovation.
I must improve my programming skills constantly. This is mandatory in order to help my colleagues develop our product. Constantly being up-to-date with the latest programming techniques is also important. Communication is essential so it’s of great importance to always be open to constructive criticism.
Being part of such an awesome team, I learned how to share my work with other programmers.
Oh, but they’re so many…
I usually put a lot of energy into playing ping-pong with my colleagues in our office break room and for me, a lot of ping-pong sessions end up with wardrobe malfunctions 😀 That’s all I’m going to say 😉
Personally, I believe that a good programmer is a programmer who is open to advice and suggestions. Although it can be hard to accept that you’re sometimes wrong, in order to become better, you must be able to admit your mistakes. We all make mistakes, learning from them is the key. That being said, I can tell you that the company leadership is honest and straightforward and the environment is more than friendly. You’ll love it here!

Counting the years of freelancing, I have a total of 8 years of experience.
As for my experience at 123ContactForm, I’ve been with the company since 2013, almost 4 fulfilling years now.
There is only one tool that I truly need and that is PhpStorm.
If I had to answer this question one year ago, I would’ve said HeidiSQL/MySQL, Workbench for databases, WinSCP for file transfer and Source Tree for version control. But PhpStorm does all of this and much more 🙂
Find an IDE/text editor that works for you. If your software is getting in the way of your work, you may need to replace it. Our team is always on the lookout for software and extensions that can make our lives easier.
Q: Why did the programmer quit his job?
A: Because he didn’t get arrays.
It can be challenging, even hard at times, but it is also rewarding. It’s always nice to see that the feature you just coded is helping someone.
It began on a Friday (29th of August 2013). I remember spending that weekend deciding whether I should come back on Monday or not. The task I had been given on my first day seemed impossible to complete. Fortunately, everything made more sense on Monday when someone from my team explained to me what I had actually been asked to do.
So, the moral of the story would be: “Do not give up and don’t be afraid to ask for clarifications/advice when needed!”
The favorite part of my role is that I get to share my knowledge with my colleagues and at the same time I learn a lot from them.
Trying to figure out how a 3rd party works. Also, writing code that works on the greater part of themes/plugins combinations on WordPress can be a bit challenging sometimes.
The greatest thing is definitely the fact that I learned to work in an agile team and I improved my programming skills a lot.
That would be a dream I had during this year’s team building. I dreamt that I got into a fight with a colleague and we had to decide which one of us will leave the team. How would we do that?! A singing contest, of course (probably because we did some karaoke that evening). 🙂
I remember waking up and seeing that colleague in my room. I was mad at him because in my dream, he had won the contest.
Come prepared, it’s not an easy job but we’ll make it work together as a team. We like to drink a lot of beers after work, so you better start your training on that too. 😉

One and a half years of my experience spent in this amazing company 😀
Right now, there are two indispensable tools that come to my mind. The first one is of course PhpStorm and the second one is the Terminal.
By being devoted and serious you can achieve everything you want.
Friend: “Hey, What’s our address? “
F: “No, man. Your local address.”
F: “Oh man, I mean your physical address.”
An everyday challenge, but also satisfying when the code works as you wanted.
I wanted to work in a team. I started to search hiring companies in my field of activity, so I got an interview here and a few months later my dream became reality. 😀
My favourite part of my role is being able to bring new features to life, it’s the best thing ever.
Writing good code to be flexible, putting yourself in the user’s shoes and being open to new suggestions.
There are a lot of great things I’ve learned. First of all, I’ve learned to work effectively in a team, another one is to write the best code you can with the knowledge you have at that time, without being afraid to refactor it to understand your old mistakes.
My favorite way to relax and unwind at work is by playing ping-pong with my teammates. And we have quite a lot of funny memories from the ping-pong room. 😉
In that room, there’s also a big whiteboard. So one day, as we were playing, one of my colleagues was standing with his back against the whiteboard. He didn’t estimate the distance between the whiteboard and the ping-pong table so he hit his back on the board and … the board landed on his head. The game was interrupted. My colleague was fine but we just couldn’t stop laughing. 😀
I would say that creative thinking is essential in this field and being open to continuous learning. The team is amazing so the learning part is going to be easy.

Google – Your Godfather
Optimise for readability and understandability.
How two programmers make money? One writes viruses, the other anti-viruses.
In one word, challenging.
My cousin asked me if I wanted to change my current job. I came to an interview and i was amazed by the people that worked at 123ContactForm. It was a very pleasant environment to work in, so I decided to go for it.
Debating new features. Finding the right solution and implementing it.
Developing an optimized code. Thinking from a user perspective.
Working with Typescript.
There are so many funny memories that I can’t choose only one.
As part of our team you will learn a lot of things and improve a lot. Things will not always be easy, but together we’ll make it and we’ll create amazing functionalities.

From a total of 15+ years, one and the first of many is spent here in the company.
Actually there are 4:
PhpStorm – Because it is the best PHP IDE I know, which has amazing refactoring and code hinting capabilities
Terminal – Because I like keyboards instead of mouses 🙂
Gimp – A good free tool for bitmap graphics editing
Inkscape – A good free tool for vectorial graphics editing
Programmer: A machine that turns coffee into code.
Programming is not a job, it’s a lifestyle!
I was thinking about moving to Timisoara, and by pure luck I got an interview at 123ContactForm. I’m lucky, I know. 🙂
The ability to transform ideas into reality.
In this order: Time, Performance, Architecture.
Apart from the fact that all people here have a special human quality, I learned how to make the best form editor in the world.
Here, people have a great sense of humor. One of them is from one of our team buildings, when we were singing karaoke and playing Mafia.
As part of our team, you will learn a lot of things and improve yourself a lot. Your desired qualities would be:
