As you probably already know, our Form builder allows you to choose from Basic and Advanced fields to add on your form with drag and drop. Google Map is one of those Advanced fields and we’re delighted to announce that we’ve added a new functionality to it. More specifically, drum rolls please…from now on, the Address field can be GEO coded.
So when form users will pin-point a location on the Google Map field, the location details in the Address field will be pre-populated– that means that they will automatically show up in theAddress field. How cool is that?
Now let’s see how you can enable the feature.
In the Edit section, you’ll locate the Google map field in the Advanced section of the ADD FIELD panel. Drag and drop it on the form and click on it once it’s added. You’ll see the same panel on the left, only now you’ll be able to EDIT FIELD. Under the Field Name, you’ll see a checkbox entitled ” Match with Address Field “. Tick it and it will open a drop-down that will display all Address fields from the form. Go ahead and select the Address Field you want to match with the Google Map field. And you’re done!
Additionally, when enabling this feature, a searchable box will also become available for respondents to type in an Address. As users start typing, it will suggest locations.
This feature will help you fulfill every buyer’s dream by streamlining the purchasing process, so feel free to add it on your order forms. There are, of course many other processes that can be streamlined. You can also add a Google Map field on a Rental Application Form or an Auto Insurance Quote Form for improved user experience. Get ideas and pick your choice from the Free Form Templates on our website.
What do you think about this new feature? Are there other features you would like us to implement? We are always open for your suggestions.
